Balinese Seasoned Eggs

Bali is a very exotic island. Various kinds of culture and beauty are presented there. Likewise with Balinese cuisine, it is very varied and everything is delicious and also easy to make. We start from ingredients that are easy to get and I'm sure almost everyone will have whose name is eating eggs. This time we try to present a recipe for cooking eggs with Balinese spices.

Balinese Seasoned Egg Ingredients


6 chicken eggs, boiled, peeled


cooking oil


3 pieces of lime leaves


1 stalk of lemongrass, bruised


1 tablespoon brown sugar, fine comb


1 tsp salt


1 tsp ground pepper


1 tsp chicken broth powder


1 tbsp lime juice


Seasoning, Puree:


5 large red chilies


5 red bird's eye chilies


5 curly red chilies


8 grains of shallots


5 cloves of garlic


3 candlenuts


2 cm turmeric


2 cm ginger


How to Make Balinese Spiced Eggs:


1. Fry hard-boiled eggs in hot oil until skinned. Lift, drain. set aside.


2. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil left over from frying the eggs, sauté the ground spices, lime leaves and lemon grass until fragrant.


3. Add brown sugar, salt, pepper, and powdered chicken broth, cook until the sugar dissolves.


4. Add eggs and lime juice, stir until eggs are covered in sauce. Remove, serve immediately.
